We understand that your pet is a cherished member of your family, and we strive to give them the care they need to stay happy and healthy. Dr. Randall Lindemann and his team are standing by to treat your dog, cat, or other companion animal, whether they require regular checkups or emergency medical attention.
Our pet services include vaccinations, general surgery, laser surgery, dentistry, parasite control, and more. Our in-house lab testing lets us make quick diagnoses, so we’re able to provide fast relief for a wide range of pressing medical conditions. Additionally, we provide pet care supplies including Hill’s Science brand foods.
Do you need expert veterinary care for your livestock? Our ambulatory large animal practice serves farms throughout northern and central Minnesota, and we regularly assist cattle farmers with their stock’s scheduled and emergency medical care needs.
Our livestock services include pregnancy checking, udder health, treatment for mastitis, and calf rearing. As a long-standing ABS Global representative, we are experienced at administering artificial insemination, and our breeding soundness examination service is indispensable for sires. We will bring our veterinary clinic’s own portable squeeze chute if requested.

If you live in Becker County, Otter Tail County, or beyond, we welcome you to schedule your pet or livestock’s appointment anytime during regular business hours. If your animal is experiencing an emergency, please call and we will do all we can to provide immediate medical assistance. We service the following towns: Park Rapids, Nevis, Detroit Lakes, Frazee, New York Mills, Perham, Wadena, Mahnomen, Hawley, Ada, Pelican Rapids, Fergus Falls, Battle Lake, Vergas, Henning, and 45 miles around Frazee.
Our Staff 
Randall Lindemann
Randall Lindemann studied pre-veterinary medicine at Southwest Minnesota State University and earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota in 1992. Since then, Dr. Lindemann has served as a field veterinarian for the Minnesota Board of Animal Health, as well as the owner and primary care veterinarian for Acorn Lake Veterinary Clinic.
Melissa P
Melissa P. has worked as a veterinary technician since 2008 and has been with Acorn Lake Veterinary Clinic since 2013. Melissa creates a warm and welcoming environment for both patients and their owners. She loves working with all animals, great and small, and takes care of each and every pet as if they were her own.

Rhonda B
Rhonda B., assistant: Rhonda is always ready to help at every task around the office! She has been with us for 6 years and has been at Acorn lake for 6 years as well. She is very proficient in keeping our office clean and tidy.
Maddy K
Maddy K., veterinary assistant: Maddy came to us in the fall of 2021 after completing a course in medical transcription. Maddy brings a lively and friendly energy to the clinic. She has a love of all animals, both large and small, she especially enjoys exotics. Although she manages many of the behind the scene jobs in the clinic, she is frequently seen assisting in the exam and surgery rooms.
Angie W
Angie joined us in May of 2023 after completing her schooling at Ridgewater college. She chose to do her internship with us and decided to stick around! She is currently a certified tech as the national board is pending for her license. She has a love for both small and large animals but aims more towards the large animal side of things. She adds a spunk to our team as she has a goofy side that helps get us through our days.
